11 EngagementsConcurrent Application System (CAS)
CAS was established pursuant to SB 1208 to consolidate ESA, CARE, and FERA assistance programs into a single platform so eligible low-income customers can apply concurrently. BoozDNA supported Phase I through requirements gathering, work-plan development, SME and stakeholder meetings, use cases and user stories, data standards, design guidelines, RFP preparation, vendor proposal evaluation, adjustments, and implementation support.
TMF Outreach Tracking System
The TMF program was established to accelerate IT innovation in California, while OSDS conducts approximately 150 outreach events annually and needed centralized tracking of business interactions and attendance. BoozDNA supported development and implementation of a ServiceNow CSM-based Outreach Tracking System, including project coordination, systems and business analysis, development, training, knowledge transfer, reporting, and workflow automation.
eTracker Proposition 2 Enhancement
Proposition 2 requires new and modified eTracker features to support DSA operations and OPSC data exchange, with the engagement augmenting existing State staff. BoozDNA supported new functionality, OPSC Online API integration, performance optimization, UI/UX improvements, cloud architecture, full-stack development, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint planning, security and confidentiality requirements, and knowledge transfer.
Network Engineering
DCA manages licensing for more than 250 professions through 38 regulatory entities, with its network supporting cloud infrastructure and telework. BoozDNA provided network engineering services covering Azure and AWS cloud connectivity, SDN strategy, F5 VPN services, Palo Alto firewalls, NetFlow analysis, network performance optimization, remediation planning, network enhancements, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.
Parole Violation Disposition Tracking System (PVDTS)
PVDTS has tracked parole revocation cases from 58 county courts since July 2013 and electronically submits revocation packets to internal and external stakeholders. BoozDNA supported full-stack development and maintenance, including Progressive Web Applications, electronic forms, RESTful services, Agile sprints, technical leadership, violation and treatment workflow enhancements, automated testing, database reporting, deployment, and cross-browser optimization.
Salesforce Maintenance & Support
CalHHS OTSI uses a custom Salesforce/Force.com web application supporting financial management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, resource management, administrative functions, and general operations. BoozDNA provided Salesforce maintenance and support, customization, development, project planning, status reporting, testing, technical documentation, user training, knowledge transfer, and administrator and design guides.
Firearms IT Modernization — IV&V
DOJ operates 17 firearms IT systems supporting firearm ownership, dealer licensing, safety, enforcement, and reporting; FITSM was initiated to address system complexity, outdated designs, and legislative mandates. BoozDNA provided IV&V across PAL phases, including project and process assessment, business and technical artifact review, requirements evaluation, risk and security analysis, traceability, monthly reporting, knowledge transfer, and final IV&V and legislative compliance reporting.
National Criminal History Improvement Program (NCHIP)
DOJ manages criminal offender record information used for fingerprint background checks, criminal justice, research, and policy decisions; NCHIP addresses delays created by manual record-sealing processes through modernization and automation. BoozDNA provided software engineering for the Disposition Processing application suite, including workflow automation, application enhancement, test planning, unit and integration testing, deployment, defect resolution, regression testing, and knowledge transfer.
Enterprise Architecture Consulting
Energy Safety's IT environment spans its Azure tenant, on-premises environment, and Department of Water Resources hosting, creating a need for architecture guidance. BoozDNA provided enterprise architecture services covering current and future-state architecture, roadmaps, disaster recovery, business continuity, data strategy, solution and data-flow diagrams, standards, reference architectures, Azure and Power Platform integration and ALM, security and identity governance, reporting, training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
WordPress Website Redesign & Support
Energy Safety sought specialized resources to modernize its public WordPress website and maintain a secure, scalable, accessible, user-friendly digital experience. BoozDNA provided front-end, back-end, and content-design services covering responsive design, content and brand updates, themes and templates, microsites, APIs and web services, video and live streaming, forms and commenting, GovDelivery, AI chatbot and BI features, accessibility monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, training, knowledge transfer, and support.
ARS & WCRIS — Independent Verification & Validation
OIG-HSR sought independent verification and validation services for two SaaS implementations supporting its audit and oversight functions and confidential whistleblower program. The scope covered the Audits & Reviews Software (ARS) for planning, conducting, documenting, and tracking audits and reviews, and the Whistleblower Complaint Receipt & Investigation System (WCRIS) for receiving, documenting, tracking, and investigating confidential whistleblower complaints, with implementation of both projects subject to California Department of Technology Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) oversight.

3 EngagementsSales Analytics & Azure Demand Forecasting
BoozDNA supported Microsoft through two data and analytics initiatives. The first integrated sales data from Salesforce, Oracle, and SAP into a centralized database and used Tableau for analytical reporting on sales opportunities, supply-demand gaps, and hospital inventory consumption, with scheduled weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting. The second developed a SQL-based global Azure services demand-forecasting platform, with modules for data consumption, transformation, and modeling that consolidated data from multiple sources to provide forecasting information to the Azure Planning group.
Blood Inventory Management & Analytics
BoozDNA was engaged to develop a Blood Inventory Management System using Tableau BI, integrating data from Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, and other third-party data sources. The project included data normalization, cross-source data validation, and reporting, along with the development of dashboards and reports that provided inventory insights to inventory management teams, middle management, and senior management to support the optimal distribution of blood supplies to hospitals and care centers across the country.
Server Monitoring & Infrastructure Reliability
BoozDNA implemented server monitoring services for KPMG to continuously track server health, resource utilization, performance, and system availability. The engagement included deployment and configuration of monitoring tools to identify potential issues proactively, support faster issue resolution, reduce downtime, improve system responsiveness, and strengthen infrastructure reliability and business continuity.
